Ketrevani is a performer, sound artist, and archivist based in Georgia. They digitise and preserve unique recordings of Georgian folk songs on magnetic tapes at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, safeguarding cultural heritage. Committed to both preservation and innovation, they use art and technology to inspire dialogue and empower communities within their rapidly changing local context.
Ketrevani, as part of the Xaraxura collective, leads workshops on music-making and microelectronics, promoting accessibility and creativity. Their artistic practice includes acting and sound design in "Mze Shenia Barbol Dolash", a play that addresses discrimination, gender, and environmental issues through performances and workshops across Georgia. They also built a DIY analogue FM synthesiser, exploring the boundaries of technology and societal expectations.
