Profile

Arbër Selmani is a writer, journalist, editor, and researcher based in Kosovo. He is the author of four books, including collections of poetry and journalistic features, and has received awards for his contributions to both literature and journalism. His work is deeply rooted in the complexities of a post-war society grappling with strict traditional and religious norms. A passionate advocate for queer representation in literature, he lectures and conducts research on queer narratives, exploring the intersections of identity, culture, and resistance. 

Arbër has won the RESPOETICA Festival in Kosovo and TIRANA GATE in Albania. His work has been translated into multiple languages, including English, Italian, French, German, Norwegian, Slovenian, Turkish, and Serbo-Croatian, reaching diverse audiences across the globe. He currently works as a Communications Officer for CEL – Center for Equality and Liberty for LGBT communities in Kosovo.
