Faisal is a visual artist and curator based in Pakistan. Her work explores gender ambiguity, queer identity, and the silenced narratives of South Asia. Through her practice, she challenges oppressive norms and fosters dialogue and connection.
In 2021, Faisal co-founded Lakir Gallery, an inclusive space for emerging artists and marginalized communities in Lahore. She is also part of the artist duo Hum-sar, which received the Südkulturfonds grant and completed a residency at Dogo Residenz in Switzerland in 2023. A 2020 graduate of the National College of Arts, Lahore, she addresses societal taboos and the tensions between tradition and individuality through her work.
