Walid Ben Ghezala is a photographer and video artist based in Côte d'Ivoire. His work blends documentary aesthetics with a poetic approach, seeking to unravel the complexities of human trajectories shaped by displacement, desire, and the subtle power of daily life.
Walid’s first solo project, “Chambre(s) Noire(s)”, was exhibited at La Boîte in Tunis in 2020, accompanied by an eponymous photobook. His works have been featured in renowned festivals, including Kerkennah01, Essaouira Photographic Nights, and Tangier’s Face à la Mer. He has held residencies at philomena+ gallery in Vienna and the Cité internationale des arts in Paris, where he explored themes of intimacy, migration, and identity. Walid also conducts photography workshops in Tunisia and Côte d’Ivoire and, in 2025, joined a mentorship program at the ENSP in Arles.
