Profile
W. Rajaie is a visual artist based in Malaysia. His practice explores materiality, metaphysics, and mysticism through installation, painting, and site-specific works. Rooted in regional contexts and philosophy, his work engages with the physical state of materials and with immaterial structures such as myth, ritual, and belief, examining how meaning evaporates, sediments, and re-forms through encounter and presence.
Rajaie is currently participating in the first edition of the Arts Intensive Study Program (AISP) 2025–2026, organised by Fire Station Museum, Qatar. His solo exhibitions include “Sorga Rawa” (2025) at The Back Room, Kuala Lumpur, and “Ruh Geluh” (2024) at TAKSU Kuala Lumpur. Parallel to his artistic practice, he is also the co-founder of Rumah Batas.
