Viviana Mamani Cori is an Indigenous Aymara filmmaker based in Bolivia. She works on challenging borders, rigid categories, and systems of exclusion, focusing on identity, migration, and the body as a political territory. Her work spans video art, experimental film, performance, live arts, and photography, with a focus on transdisciplinary arts. Viviana Mamani Cori has participated in exhibitions, selections, and received awards at Ibero-American festivals dedicated to Indigenous, feminist, and LGBTQ+ cinema.
Viviana Mamani Cori studied cinematography with the mentorship of Jorge Sanjinés, Kiro Russo, and Miguel Hilari. She represented Bolivia at Talents Buenos Aires 2022 and at the DIP 2024 residency. Her first photographic project, “Cristóbal Condori: Una nariz de ficción”, won the Latin American Experimental Photography Festival in Cali. She is currently developing her debut documentary, “Estoy buscando a mi familia,” selected for various international labs.
