Profile

Sabreen Haj Ahmad is a researcher and multidisciplinary artist based in Palestine. Her work examines the relationship between colonial environmental change and Indigenous Palestinians, focusing on the impacts of environmental colonialism and gendered violence on Palestinian people, landscapes, and biodiversity, and on how these forces reshape connections to land and nature.

Grounded in Indigenous knowledge systems, Haj Ahmad adopts anti-colonial and decolonial approaches to explore ecological disruption and systemic oppression. Working across a wide range of media, she documents and reflects on women's narratives and lived experiences alongside her own. By weaving together research, storytelling, and artistic expression, Haj Ahmad offers a sustained commentary on nature, identity, resistance, and collective visions for liberation for Palestine and Indigenous peoples.
