Obiajulu Ozegbe is a dancer, choreographer, curator and community organizer based in Nigeria. Obiajulu's work sits at the intersection of movement, community, and social change. Based in Lagos, Obiajulu trained at QDance Center and later deepened his practice through artistic activism training with New York-based Center for Artistic Activism. He is the founder and artistic director of Ennovate Dance House, a collective using dance as a tool for dialogue, civic engagement, and community empowerment. He is also the Founder/Artistic Director of Slum Party, one of Nigeria’s most impactful dance festivals, connecting international artists with local communities through collaborative research and performance. He is a board member of Afrocan, a strong community of dance artists in Nigeria.
Obiajulu's work has earned him features on BBC World, Al Jazeera, Euro news, Africa news and other mainstream media. He has presented work and facilitated workshops locally and internationally, remaining committed to dance as a vehicle for problem solving, education, and collective imagination.
