Profile

LUANDA is a musician and sound artist from Argentina who studied musical composition at the Universidad Nacional de 3 de Febrero. In the past, they have participated in the Emerging City Festival, the GRL PWR Festival, the FAQ Brandon, and Festival Camba Apica. Through their work, LUANDA expresses what it means to be a black lesbian artist among the Argentinian society which discriminates and oppresses those who resist. Producing the “afromanzana” at the Manzana de las Luces and “la veredite” at the El Surco Cultural Center amidst the global pandemic, their album “Resreito” was released in 2021.
