Profile

Vandria Borari is a ceramic artist and an indigenous leader of the Borari territory of Alter do Chão in the Lower-Tapajós region of Pará, Brazil. She is also an activist for the rights of indigenous peoples and holds a degree in Law from the Federal University of Western Pará (UFOPA). Vandria is one of the creators and cultural producers of the Mutak Lower-Tapajós Indigenous Art Festival, and the founder and organiser of Ukara Wasú Indigenous Cultural Center. In 2021, she was the artist in residence of the CULTURESCAPES Amazonia Festival in Basel, Switzerland, and in 2022 she participated in labverde’s ECOLOGIAS.ESPECULATIVAS arts residency.
