Trung Mai is an architect based in Hanoi, Viet Nam. Trung is known for his innovative approach to architectural practice and research. He graduated from ENSA Paris-Malaquais in France and Leibniz Universität Hannover in Germany, where he honed his skills before gaining valuable experience at Atelier Jean Nouvel. Concurrently, he founded his architectural studio alongside Hanoi ad hoc, a research-creation platform.
Trung's work has garnered international acclaim, winning prestigious awards such as Europan in France, Italy, and Spain multiple times, as well as recognition at the World Architectural Festival 2018 and the Association of Siamese Architects Competition. His architectural focus spans post-industrial phenomena, social and climate adaptation, and the re-examination of history through archival works.
