Profile
Tabara Korka Ndiaye is a researcher, writer, and creative based in Senegal. Tabara is interested in how the future can be shaped by personal stories, and her practice hinges on studies of African feminisms and the relationship between archives and the erasure of women in Senegalese history. She has a degree in Political Science and International Relations from Madiba Leadership Institute and has discussed the “presence-absence” of women in politics in Senegal in the collective book “Politisez-vous!” (2017). Tabara has worked at RAW Material Company—a center for art, knowledge, and society—as a research assistant participating in the curation of exhibitions and public programmess as well as closely working with artists in residency. In 2023, Tabara co-curated the first feminist and research festival, CinéFemFest, in Gorée Island, Senegal.
