Luis Juárez is an editor, curator, and cultural manager based in Argentina. Luis’s work is dedicated to cultural projects that operate from a queer stance, creating networks and alliances for the strengthening of marginalized communities that are outside the norm. He edits and directs Revista Balam, an independent contemporary photography magazine where he addresses issues related to minorities and dissidence. Luis is part of the directorial team at MIGRA, a collective based in Buenos Aires that arises from the need to generate a community space for containment, support, and growth of publications, printed art, and visual arts. He is also a member and editorial coordinator of Archivo de la Memoria Trans Argentina, a collaborative and independent project led by trans people that brings together images and stories about the recent history of the trans community in Argentina.
