Profile

SAM BB is a dancer and choreographer based in Brazzaville, Congo. A member of Ateliers Sahm, SAM's artistic practice focuses on empowering Congolese women through performance, a theme that garnered her the Swiss Garage Aarau grant. Notably, she initiated the Nsaka Dance Festival and Dance Nsaka, platforms aimed at supporting fellow dancers in the region. Her work resonates internationally, highlighted by her selection for the "Visa for Creation 2020" programmd by Paris's French Institute, facilitating her performances across Madagascar, Senegal, and France.

In 2023, SAM was accepted into the prestigious École des Sables in Senegal, under the mentorship of Germaine Acogny, further enriching her choreographic expertise. Her advocacy extends to promoting freedom of expression and gender equality through her artistry, making significant strides in the cultural landscape of Central Africa.
