Profile
Nad E Ali is an interdisciplinary artist based in Pakistan. Working across photography, archives, and sound, their practice explores memory, identity, and the quiet narratives carried by people and objects. Their approach centres on slow, process-based engagement with grief, devotion, and marginalised voices, creating tactile archives that resist erasure and honour lived memory.
Ali is the founder of Tasveer, Pakistan’s first dedicated photo publication, and was a Southasia Incubator participant at PhotoKTM 6 in 2025. Their work has been exhibited at Lumenvisum in Hong Kong, at Platforms Project in Athens, and at Simurgh Festival in Lahore, the city where they live and work.
