Profile
Mohamed Radi is a visual artist based in Morocco. His work explores leather, which he reinvents as a medium in its own right, situated between tradition and innovation. In his practice, leather becomes both a carrier and a surface, a living entity from which contemporary pictorial concerns emerge. By combining craftsmanship and mark-making, he reflects on texture, fragility, and the memory inscribed within his works.
Mohamed, who was born in Taroudant, Morocco, graduated from the National School of Fine Arts in Tetouan. His approach invites a reconsideration of the materiality of creativity from the perspective of a reexamined cultural identity, treating a material long associated with craft as a contemporary pictorial language.
