Melisa Yağmur Saydı is an artist and activist based in Türkiye. Her practice brings together artistic production and activism, and it is shaped by the years spent studying and organising in France. She left Türkiye in 2017 for university studies, completing a double bachelor's degree in anthropology and cinema at University Lyon 2 and a Master in Arts at Beaux-Arts de Marseille.
In France, Saydı co-founded the first Turkish-Kurdish LGBT+ diaspora collective in the country and was active in it for five years. She returned to Türkiye in July 2023 and has continued both artistic production and activism there, notably as part of the Istanbul Pride committee.
