Profile

Allan Weber is a multidisciplinary artist based in the 5 Bocas community in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. Allan specializes in photography, objects, collages, and installations. Through his art, Allan strives to transform societal perceptions and highlight the vibrant essence of favela life. His photographic series "Tamo junto não é gorjeta" captured during the COVID-19 pandemic while he worked as a delivery man, gained recognition and was featured on the cover of Zum #20 magazine in 2020.

Allan's pieces have been showcased at venues such as the São Paulo Art Museum (MASP) in 2022, the Rio Art Museum (MAR), and Inhotim in 2023. In 2021, he founded the 5 Bocas Gallery, and in 2023, he was nominated for the PIPA Prize.
