Profile
Medhat Saleh is an independent filmmaker based in Egypt. Medhat's work embodies the free expression of thoughts and beliefs and invites the audience to engage with often contradictory topics, especially around social issues in Upper Egypt, in a non-hostile environment with no restrictions.
In 2016, Medhat established Nagmasha, a film company that aims to create a cinematic space in Upper Egypt by producing short films, presenting cinematic workshops, and setting up film screenings as an alternative cinema culture in the region. He is currently Nagmasha's filmmaking trainer and cultural manager, producing workshops, cinematic training programs, and programming film shows.
