Profile

Vitral was socio-cultural Catholic magazine based in Cuba. It was private initiative of a group of independent intellectuals who made full use of the relative protection of the Roman Catholic church in order to create space for debate.Founded with the aim of transparency and a plurality of ideas within Cuba, Vitral served as a window to the outside world for the Cuban people, publishing articles about Cuba by Cubans independent from the government. The magazine provided a platform for reflection and discussion on a range of topics, promoting a spirit of openness and critical thinking.
