Profile

Latifa Zafar Attaii is a visual artist based in Tehran, Iran. Latifa graduated from the School of Visual Arts and Design at Beaconhouse National University in 2017. Her work explores themes of cultural identity, resilience, and resistance, often reflecting the socio-political landscape of her homeland.

Latifa's art has been showcased in numerous international exhibitions, including group shows in Turin, China, Switzerland, Dubai, Tehran, Goa, Quetta, and Kabul, among others. Notably, she participated in the Young Subcontinent Project of the Serendipity Arts Festival in Goa and the Fadjr International Festival in Tehran. Attaii's contributions to contemporary art have been recognized with the Cultures of Resistance award and the Second Prize in the Allegro Art Prize 2021.
