Gulnara Kasmalieva and Muratbek Djumaliev are multimedia artists based in Kyrgyzstan. Working collaboratively, they explore the socio-economic transformations and cultural identity shifts of Central Asia through photography, video, and installation art. Their critically acclaimed series "A New Silk Road" captures the complexities of economic exchange along the ancient trade routes, juxtaposing the local impacts of global economics.
