Profile
Dilsad Aladag is an architect and urbanist based in Turkiye. Dilsad holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Istanbul Technical University and a master’s degree in Urban Studies from Bauhaus University Weimar as a DAAD fellow. Her practice is grounded in art, research, heritage, and ecology. Dilsad explores alternative ways of creating space and resilience in the face of spatial and ecological transformation and loss. She is interested in the potential of artistic and curatorial tools to understand and narrate new possibilities. Therefore, process-oriented artistic research, initiating dialogues, and archives are essential in her practice.
Dilsad’s collaborative and individual works have received various grants and have been presented in institutions in the likes of Depo İstanbul, Kunsthaus Hamburg, and the Jewish Museum of Franconia.
