Profile
Brightackwerh is an artist based in Ghana with BFA and MFA degrees in painting and sculpture from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. His practice concentrates on painting, illustration, and street art, and has been influenced by Ghanaian artists duo FOKN BOIS and the work of Nigerian musician Fela Kuti. Brightackwerh received the Kuenyehia Prize for Ghanaian Contemporary Art in 2016 and has participated in exhibitions, including "Cornfields in Accra" (2016) and "Orderly Disorderly" (2017). Brightackwerh has also been involved in organizing art workshops in the northern region of Ghana, collaborating with Tamale-based development agencies.
