Ángel Molina (also known as Andrómeda) is a filmmaker, singer, and queer artist based in Paraguay. His work addresses issues related to human rights and the LGBTIQ+ community, drawing from his own experience as a queer person.
His short films have received awards at both national and international festivals. Notably, "Call Me Mateo"(2020) won First Prize in the CINECORTO IMPULSE – MAGUEY AWARD at the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG) in Mexico. His creative practice expands through Andrómeda, his drag queen singer alter ego, with whom he explores Latin American folklore through music. He has been selected for Berlinale Talents 2022 and Buenos Aires Talents 2024. Ángel graduated in Communication with a specialisation in Film Directing from the EICTV (Cuba).
