Profile
Kobra Akbari is an artist and photographer based in Afghanistan. Kobra holds a degree from the Journalism Faculty at Balkh University, and she is a member of the Afghanistan Photographers Association. In her practice, she is interested in telling the story of Afghan women and the culture of the Hazara people in Afghanistan. Kobra’s first story, “Kabul Cemetery Tea Vendor”, was published on BBC, and her work has also been published in Zürich Magazine, Al Jazeera, and Xinhua. She has exhibited work at Kerry Packer Civic Gallery in Australia and OlsoMet University in Norway, among others.
