Profile

Wil Paucar Calle is a filmmaker based in Argentina. A graduate in Cinema from the University of the Arts in Ecuador, he is interested in analog and experimental approaches to image-making. His short film "¿Cómo suturar la tierra?" premiered at IDFA 2024 and was exhibited at the La Habana Film Festival and the 61 Mostra Internazionale del Nuovo Cinema Pesaro, among others.

In 2020, Paucar Calle received a scholarship in film and television scriptwriting from the National Cinematheque of Ecuador. He received the Ernesto Albán award, granted by the Municipality of Quito, for best short-form audiovisual work. He is currently developing his first feature film alongside two short films.
