Profile
Roar is an artist based in Iran, working in site-specific art, urban interventions, and installation. Many of his projects begin with personal experiences of insecurity in public spaces and with questions about the body, control, and invisible restrictions, which extend beyond the individual to social structures and power relations.
In his work the body is not only a subject but also a site of interaction, where the boundary between observer and participant becomes blurred. Through temporary interventions in public spaces, Roar creates situations for reflection, experience, and the reconsideration of safety and freedom. His approach is critical, participatory, and experimental, and his projects foster dialogue between the personal and the political.
