Victoria Pastrana is an artist based in Argentina. Her work focuses on historical narratives that intersect with her lived reality, shaped by belonging to an Indigenous community and a social context of oppression. In her practice, Victoria primarily works with clay and textiles, including wool, synthetic fibres, and plastics, to create cultural and symbolic translations.
In 2024, Victoria received a grant for the “NOA Creation Residency” by the Ultimus Project and LODO Platform, as well as a scholarship for the Annual Virtual Artist Programme by PAC (Contemporary Art Program) at Gachi Prieto Gallery. She was awarded the Grand Prize at the XVII National Salon of Contemporary Art at MUNT (Museum of the National University of Tucumán). In 2023, she also received a scholarship for the Intercultural Residency in Performing Arts, Waka Kuyuy, in Tilcara. Victoria holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from the Faculty of Arts of Tucumán.
