Santua Tripura is a filmmaker, photographer, and cultural producer based in Bangladesh. His work delves into Indigenous existence, collective memory, and the connection between communities and their ancestral lands, offering an exploration of enduring cultural resilience and societal transformation. He works across film and photography from the Chittagong Hill Tracts, where he lives.
He currently leads Ruwang Collective Arts, an initiative that brings together Indigenous artists to promote their work while protecting and celebrating the diverse Indigenous cultures of Bangladesh. Through the initiative, his role as a cultural producer extends beyond his own films and photographs to the wider community of Indigenous artists working in the country.
