SUONG Rotha is a photographer, filmmaker, and creative director based in Cambodia. SUONG is the creative force behind Minor Act, an organization dedicated to empowering youth through the creation of socially impactful media. Her work often explores the struggles and aspirations of young and marginalized artists in Cambodia, prominently featured in her acclaimed project, "Unexpected Song".
As the 2023 Asia Foundation Development Fellow, SUONG collaborates with regional leaders on global issues, focusing on peace-building initiatives. Her previous role as Head of Production at Pour un Sourire Enfant School of Media saw her lead a project-based learning approach, enabling disadvantaged film students to gain practical experience despite limited industry resources in Cambodia.
