Reza Baastani is a writer, director, and producer based in Iran. Reza studied film at the Tehran University of Art before being forced to end his studies. His work deals with the history of patriarchy within Iranian society, minorities, social responsibility, and human resilience in political suffocation. Through his practice, Reza tells the stories of those often overlooked and fights for freedom against tyranny.
Reza was the director of the 16th Nahal International Film Festival, and as a producer, his recent work, “Dinner Party” premiered at the Miami Film Festival.
