Quỳnh Nguyễn, also known as Alex Nguyễn, is a writer, cultural practitioner, and mother based in Viet Nam. Her practice spans writing, imagery, and arts organizing, and extends into her daily life, all of it dedicated to seeking and telling alternative narratives within the contemporary context. Her work has been featured on Mekong Eye, ASEF 360, ArtIQulate, and Fairplanet, and exhibited in New York.
She is a co-founder of Thì Collective, a collective rooted in a family-based foundation in Central Vietnam that uses art and interdisciplinary approaches to respond to and open dialogues on cultural, environmental, and social issues in Vietnam. Its practice ranges from the members' own works to organizing activities such as workshops, open archives, film screenings, field art tours, and a site-adaptive contemporary arts practice week.
