Idio Chichava is a Mozambican dancer and choreographer. In his practice, he develops multidisciplinary and creative artistic collaboration projects which aim to give everyone the opportunity and space to explore their own universe, while coexisting with others. As the artistic director of the Converge+ Dance Company, he promotes exchanges and free dance training in different rural communities, as well as performances in the public spaces in Mozambique. Idio is also the artistic assistant of the “Semana da Dança” of Kinani Mozambique and is one of the producers in Roots Festival “Traditional Music”.
