Hamzeh Ballouk is a cinematographer and video artist based in the Syrian Arab Republic. Hamzeh's work points to civil society and the psychological effect of civil war on youth. He launched his first professional step as a cinematographer in “Summer, City, and a Camera”, a short documentary that was officially selected for many local and international film festivals, such as Palestine Cinema Days Festival and Spektrum Film Festival. Hamzeh has participated in various film projects, like the feature documentary “Shapeshifting“, and he was also selected to participate in the 8th edition of the Talents Beirut programme by Goethe-Institut Lebanon.
