Profile
Norkor Nortey is a documentary photographer based in Ghana. Norkor's work focuses on the experiences of women of color, exploring how they navigate, create spaces, and thrive in an often unkind and non-inclusive world. In her practice, women are the central figures, asserting their personal histories and visual culture.
Norkor earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Design from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2019. She also graduated from the Dikan Center, Africa’s first and largest photography library, as part of the inaugural cohort of the Photojournalism & Documentary Practice Program, where she received the Outstanding Student Award.
