Profile

Gvantsa Jishkariani is a multimedia artist based in Tbilisi, Georgia. Her art is inspired by the cultural heritage of Georgia, reflecting on the country’s socio-political realities. She holds an MA in Creative Mediation, from the Center of Contemporary Art, Tbilisi. In 2020, she was awarded the Exhibition Grant from the Ministry of Culture, Georgia; she was also awarded the Residency Grant at NARS foundation, New York in 2019, and won the Tsinandali award in Visual Art in 2017. Her artistic practice includes experimenting with materials and expressing herself through artistic research, design, music, and performance.
