Profile
Atefe Moeini is a researcher, photographer, video and visual artist based in Iran. She has a BA in Photojournalism from the Iran School of Media Studies and has completed an online long-term Photobook Programme with the Penumbra Foundation in New York. Her work ‘This is 18’ has been internationally exhibited in Sydney Opera House (2019) and published in the New York Times (2019). She is interested in telling untold stories through her work, focusing on issues such as gender, being a woman in Iran, violence, educational systems and political propaganda. Atefe is now working on two projects that she intends to self-publish as a limited-edition photo book.
