Profile

Anna is a documentary filmmaker from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) based in Armenia, working at the intersection of documentary cinema and experimental nonfiction. Her work explores themes of displacement, memory, trauma, and belonging, shaped by her lived experience of war and forced displacement.

Anna is an alumna of the DocNomads Joint Master’s Program in Documentary Film, based in Portugal, Hungary, and Belgium. Her short documentary "ARMAT", which tells the story of the ethnic cleansing of Artsakh, received the Silver Apricot Award at the Golden Apricot International Film Festival in 2024 and continues to screen internationally.
