Sophio is a filmmaker, director, and multimedia artist based in Georgia. Sophio's work spans across various mediums, exploring themes of identity, social justice, and cultural heritage. Graduating in 2018 from GIPA's bachelor program in audio-visual and media arts, she has authored numerous impactful short documentaries and multimedia projects.
From 2017 to 2021, Sophio played a pivotal role as a creator of video content at "INDIGO" publishing and worked as a camera operator and director's assistant at the non-governmental organization "Studio Mobile - Accent on Action". Notably, she is a founding member and currently serves as director of Caucasus Cinema, an innovative filmmaking program operating in remote areas throughout Georgia, aiming to foster local talent and narratives.
