Profile
Neal Davids (CHIIP O NEAL) is a visual artist and cultural practitioner based in Ghana, working at the intersection of textile, fashion, performance, and material research. His practice transforms discarded garments and African symbolic languages into living archives of identity, memory, and resilience. Through exhibitions, installations, and wearable sculptures, he explores how cloth can hold histories of marginalisation, survival, and becoming within African and diasporic contexts.
Neal is the founder of CHIIP O NEAL, an evolving multidisciplinary platform bridging fashion, contemporary art, and cultural storytelling. His work has been presented across Ghana, South Africa, Sweden, France, and the Netherlands, and engages with communities, markets, and craft traditions as sites of shared memory and creative resistance.
