Rim Harrabi is a cultural practitioner, multimedia artist, editor, and filmmaker based in Tunisia. In her work, Rim’s primary focus is on reappropriating history and public and remote spaces to create safe environments that promote free expression, gender equality, and a critical reexamination of history. Collaboration with collectives and sound artists is integral to her practice.
In 2021, Rim participated in the Women in Dox program by DOX BOX, where she co-directed two documentaries that were screened at various festivals including FESPACO, Oberhausen Short Film Festival, and MedFilm Festival. Rim has also exhibited her work in visual art group shows and festivals, such as A Family of Humans, Tourist in Your Own Town, and Dream City. She currently co-manages Transmitting Stones, a cultural platform for the creation and exchange of contemporary music between Tunisia, Algeria, and Switzerland.
