Profile
Rediet Haddis is a visual artist and architect based in Ethiopia, working across textiles and film. Her projects explore memory, migration, and material culture through immersive installations, garments, and documentary short films. She integrates architectural thinking into film and textile, creating works that reflect on identity, ritual, and the social and spatial environments people inhabit.
Rediet’s work often combines collaborative research, archival practice, and site-specific engagement with communities. Working between textile and moving image, she treats garments and documentary film as related ways of holding memory. Her immersive installations bring these materials together so that identity, ritual, and migration can be examined through the spaces and objects people live with.
