Omar Malas, based in Syria, works as a director, director of photography and photographer. He studied at the École supérieure de réalisation audiovisuelle in Paris. Over the last decade, Omar has produced several documentaries and a photo exhibition, focusing on Syria’s war as well as other subjects. His work includes the photobook Crow’s Eye, the documentary films Damascus is Breathing (2023) and the short film Absence (2022).
