Oksana Shatalova is a visual artist and curator based in Kazakhstan. Her multidisciplinary practice spans installation, video, and textual works that deeply explore post-Soviet identity, gender issues, and social transformations. Shatalova’s projects, notable for their intellectual depth and cultural critique, have garnered international acclaim, particularly her video series "Nomadic Chronicles" which examines the nomadic traditions and modern-day dilemmas of Central Asian societies.Her work has been exhibited widely in galleries and festivals across Europe and Central Asia, including standout presentations at the Venice Biennale and Documenta.
