Marcela Rapallo is an artist, teacher, and researcher based in Argentina. She combines all these roles in collaborative projects involving various groups and networks, focusing on live drawing and interdisciplinary collective creation experiences. Marcella is part of Trazos Team, a group dedicated to developing Free Software technologies. Her work involves exhibitions, theater productions, performances, educational and mediation projects, as well as consultancy and training for festivals, galleries, cultural centers, foundations, universities, community and socio-educational programs. Marcela has a degree in Visual Arts from the Universidad Nacional de las Artes (UNA), where she teaches postgraduate seminars, manages the artistic direction of the diploma program in "Cultural Mediation Community Arts and Technologies" (UNA/CLACSO), and leads the research projects “Open Drawing” (UNA) and “Water: Engaging with Ecological Challenges through Scientific Information and the Arts” (UNA/UNQ).
Marcela has presented work at venues such as Banco de la República in Cali, Colombia, as part of COP16 United Nations Biodiversity Conference; the opening of the Domo Lleno + Real Mix 0.4 Festivals at Planetarium of Bogotá; the Immersive Room at the Centro Cultural Kirchner; Festival Escuchar – Visual Sounds at Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires; Fase 1 Festival at Municipal Exhibition Center; and IMPA La Fábrica Ciudad Cultural, among many others.
