Profile

Kiều-Anh Nguyễn is an interdisciplinary artist based in Hanoi, Vietnam. Kiều-Anh enjoys creating spaces to foster inclusive conversations for underrepresented bodies and narratives, notably about women. Her art practice foregrounds olfaction as the core line of inquiry, exploring memory tracing and care practices. This has manifested in forms such as participatory art and soft sculpture, often suggesting travels between time, spaces, and sensory experiences.

Kiều-Anh's work has been exhibited in spaces including VIVA ExCon, Vietnamese Women’s Museum, Asia Art Archive, and Documenta 15. In 2021, she co-founded the ba-bau collective with ba-bau AIR to promote multi-interdisciplinary practices locally and globally. In 2023, she founded “olfactory archives”, focusing on using smell as an alternative way to reconsider archives.
