Karrar Nasser is a documentary photographer and filmmaker. Born in Baghdad, he started photographing in 2016 and since then has been part of multiple local and international exhibitions. He has been recogised by the Iraqi Photographic Society, the International Federation of Photographers (IAAP) and The Hamdam Bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Award (HIPA). He is interested in coming up with creative ways of documenting cultural and natural heritage in Iraq and forming visual narratives that instigate the Iraqi sense of belonging and identity.
