Profile
Ibrahim S Bangura (Cleffy) is a poet, performance and sound artist from Sierra Leone. Coming from the streets, he joined a UK charity organisation WAYout. During that time he studied sound engineering and creative writing. In 2018, he received a Prince Claus Fund grant that helped him hone his voice and identity as an artist. His work deals with the themes of memory, childhood, and village culture written in three local languages of Sierra Leone and English. Cleffy hopes to use poetry to inspire young Africans to express themselves.
