Profile

hijadelacoca is a visual artist based in Peru. Her practice is grounded in a training in textile conservation and restoration, and alongside it she facilitates workshops and has been an active feminist organizer with Collera Red since 2018. Her work has been exhibited at the Everywoman Biennial in London and Arte Actual FLACSO in Ecuador, and featured on PhotoVogue and MSH Paris Nord.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts, specialised in Textile Conservation and Restoration, from the National Autonomous University of Fine Arts of Peru. hijadelacoca has received artistic grants and taken part in international residencies, including Women Sustain the Pandemic by BicaPlataforma in Brazil in 2022 and FAR Residency in Argentina in 2025. In 2025 she was a finalist of the ICPNA Contemporary Art Award in Peru.
